Virgo Voyager

This isn’t going to be the most inspiring of first posts, but today Morning Sun arrived at the Marina.

The hull needs a good cleaning and a repainting, and at the moment I’ve got DIY tasks to do at home – but she’s arrived, and settling in for the night.

First job, as I’ve said, is to get the hull cleaned up. Apparently she’s not been out of the water for 10 years, so there’s all manner of clean up needed. Then there’s the decision of the colour scheme. Part of me is thinking of the classic red keel, white middle, and then blue upper as I’ve seen on many a catalogue image from the 1970’s and 1980’s, or I could go for something different.

A good cleaning and scrubbing first though – but not just yet.
